Day 25 - Netzach - Aerin
Today was Tel Aviv day! Finally, the day we have all been waiting for arrived! This morning we started off at the Innovation Centre. It was so amazing to see how many start ups there are in Israel. Israel is so small and young but has so many more start ups per capita than many other countries. Seeing all the incredible entrepreneurs who have Israeli companies that are so successful was unbelievable.
It then finally came around, we went to the amazing Shuk HaCarmel which we eagerly awaited from the beginning of the trip. Once we were let off the bus, Moriah students took over the shuk. We were lucky enough to have 1 and half hours of free time! This was so exciting for all of us as we got to explore the streets of Tel Aviv and we went crazy to say the least. Picking at all the lollies, dried fruit and halva we were definitely satisfied. Shortly after, a delicious lunch of pasta and salad was delivered to us, before we made our way to our Tel Aviv options. The options included a graffiti tour, or Save a Child’s Heart. I chose Save a Child’s Heart which was heart warming. Ethiopian children who were aged from a few months old to 12 years old came to play with us. It was so special to make the children happy and to watch them sing, dance and draw. They all had smiles on their faces.
Following our options we made our way to Azrieli Mall where we had 2 hours of free time and relatives time. It was so nice to walk around the shopping centre and meet friends and family from Israel. Today was a very eventful day and one of my favourite days so far on IST. Going to the Innovation Centre, the shuk, Save A Child’s Heart, and to Azrieli Mall was a memorable day in Tel Aviv and a significant part of IST that I will never forget.
